Taiwan PCB suppliers have increased HDI board capacity

According to foreign media reports, due to the strong demand for HDI boards in the smartphone market, Taiwan's printed circuit board suppliers, including Xinxing, Huatong Computer and Yaohua Electronics, have improved the capacity utilization of HDI board production lines in the second quarter of 2014.

In addition, after the HDI board production line in South Korea was burned, Taiwan PCB manufacturers received more orders in March. Xinxing increased the utilization rate of its HDI board production line from less than 70% to 80-90%. At present, the HDI board capacity utilization rate of Huatong exceeds 80%, while LinkedIn plans to further expand the HDI board capacity of any layer. Apple plans to launch a new iPhone in the second half of 2014, and the supply of HDI boards is expected to remain relatively tight until the end of the year.
