Correct use of non stick cloth for the laminator
1. Normal use of glass cloth
In the sales of the laminating machine, the manufacturer always places two pieces of non stick cloth in in the laminating machine。It is to remind the manufacturer of the importance of non stick cloth in production. The function of the non stick cloth is to isolate the melted EVA and stick it to the rubber plate of the upper chamber and the heating plate of the laminator. Once EVA sticks to the rubber plate and heating plate, it will be difficult to remove it.
The correct use method is:
At least 4 pieces of non stick cloth shall be provided on one laminator. After each use, do not reuse it immediately, but put it aside and wait for the non stick cloth to cool down thoroughly, and then thoroughly remove the EVA on the non stick cloth, so that the non stick cloth will always keep its original color. If the EVA on the non stick cloth cannot be completely removed, the EVA will stick to the battery module glass when it is used again. At this time, EVA particles will be left on the glass no matter what cleaning is used. When the battery panel is used outdoors, these EVA particles will re melt and stick to the glass. And absorb the dust on the glass. The dust cannot be removed. Sometimes the dust will block the battery chip, forming a long-term hot spot effect.
2. Correctly use the sealing material of the frame
Sealant shall be used when adding a frame to the battery panel. Some units press the EVA strip into the concave groove of the frame for sealing. And use a hair dryer to melt EVA. If EVA is used as the frame seal, be sure to put the battery panel with the frame into the curing oven for curing. Otherwise, when used outdoors, EVA will repeatedly melt and absorb a large amount of dust under sunlight. In addition, the sealant must not use colored glue, otherwise the pigment will slowly diffuse to the EVA in the battery panel, and the battery panel will change color after one year of use.
3. Normal use of vacuum pump
In the daily maintenance of the laminator, the most important maintenance link is the maintenance of the vacuum system. When the laminator is used for a period of time, the vacuum degree of the laminator will be reduced. When it is lowered to a certain extent, bubbles will appear on the battery panel. Therefore, it is required to check whether the vacuum pump is short of oil every day. Check whether the oil level of the vacuum pump reaches the oil level line of the window under the working condition. Make up if it is insufficient, but not excessive. Secondly, after a period of use, the vacuum pump oil starts to become turbid or black, which requires changing the vacuum pump oil, cleaning the vacuum pump at the same time, and removing colloidal foreign matters inhaled in the vacuum pump.
The vacuum degree is still not high after cleaning, which may be caused by the following reasons:
After EVA passes through high temperature in the laminator, the peroxide (cross-linking catalyst), antioxidant and trace wax acid added in EVA will escape back with the temperature rising. Some peroxides participate in the crosslinking chemical reaction of EVA, forming new substances and escaping into the air. The higher the working temperature of the laminator, the more and more complex the substances in EVA escape into the air. Some of these complex substances are sucked into the vacuum pump, absorbed on various parts of the vacuum pump or dissolved in the vacuum pump oil, resulting in the decline of the overall function of the vacuum pump. The other part forms colloidal particles in the vacuum pipeline as the temperature decreases and adsorbs on the vacuum pipeline. Over time, the vacuum pipeline will become narrow or even blocked. At this time, the only way is to replace the connected vacuum hose.
